Caitlin Rutkay brings her expertise from years on design projects to C.R. Interior Designs, a full-service interior design firm. She combines the basic elements of interior design with distinction, functionality and personality in order to decorate a space that truly reflects her client’s lifestyle. From her start at the Home Collection at The Polo Store in Short Hills to design assistant at the venerable David Easton in Manhattan, and later Charlotte Moss Interior Design in Manhattan- where she worked alongside the iconic tastemaker on her own Upper East Side residence-Caitlin has acquired the skill for managing projects of all sizes. After leaving Charlotte Moss with a desire to spread her wings and make a name for herself in the local community, C.R. Interior Designs was launched in 2007. She has consistently worked on projects in the tri-state area since, ranging from simple soft furnishings to large scale remodeling jobs. Growing up in a 100- year- old house in Warren County, New Jersey, Caitlin instinctively has a love of tradition. This foundation, paired with the understanding of today’s client and their needs serves as the basis of her approach to design. Rather than copying trends, Caitlin infuses each project with a nod to the past while keeping an eye on the way client’s live today.
