A dazzling December afternoon at the festively decorated Roxiticus Country Club provided the setting for WAMMC’s winter luncheon hosted by the Membership Committee on Tuesday, December 4.  The larger venue enabled more than seventy women to gather for a delicious lunch and plenty of cheerful conversation.  To meet the requests of the Goryeb Children’s Hospital’s Child Life team, each member was asked to a donate either a colorful pillowcase to brighten a young patient’s bed, an iTunes gift card for older patients, or a Starbucks gift card for parents.  As always, the members were very generous and we presented Kristin Holtzman and her staff with the donations, including gift cards in excess of $600.  Many thanks to Lisa Overley for securing the venue and organizing the afternoon, to Gwynne Wade and Eileen Burke for invitations, to Patty Mullens for donating the beautiful white poinsettia centerpieces that became door prizes, and to all the members who attended.  The spirit of the holidays was in the air!
