Share Our Mission
Twigs are branches of the Women's Association for Morristown Medical Center and a great way to become involved. Each Twig, with the support of the Women's Association, plans and executes fundraisers or service projects of their own choosing within the mission of the Association.
If you are interested in joining a Twig, send an email to our General Twig Committee Chair. You needn't reside in the same geographical area as other Twig members - the only requirement to join any Twig is a shared interest in volunteering.

Chatham
Co-Presidents: Samantha Ekert and Amy Crandall
The Chatham Twig, a branch of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center, was founded in 2010 and has over 60 members active monthly at Goryeb Children's Hospital, The Valerie Center, and The Carol G. Simon Cancer. The Twig is involved with both hands-on projects and fundraising. Meals are delivered to the PICU monthly and for special holidays; the Goryeb pediatric playroom is decorated four times per year and patient goody bags are distributed during decorating days. Twice annually, the members host an art therapy program reception for cancer patients at the Simon Cancer Center. Members also make no-sew fleece blankets for pediatric patients, conduct various in-kind collection drives, and generally help wherever is needed with special events and ongoing programming. The Twig has funded a variety of different initiatives including iPads, infant sleeper sacs, high chairs, IV poles, snack carts, bereavement gifts and resources, pet and massage therapy programs, supplies for art and music therapy programs, support for the palliative care Liam’s Room, nursing scholarships, and for sending children with cancer to summer camp. These endeavors have totaled over $50,000!

Cromwell-Olive
Contact: Fran Loewentsteiner
The Cromwell Olive Twig members reside mainly in Convent Station. They have been in existence for over 40 years and most of their original members are still active with the group. They hold monthly vendor sales at the hospital and also volunteer at the hospital, individually and as a group. Their newest venture is a Walk-A-Thon held each year in May.

Harding
President: Linda Kearns, Treasurer: Rita Chipperson
The Harding Twig raises funds and organizes service projects in support of the Gagnon Pediatric Emergency Department at Goryeb Children’s Hospital of Morristown Medical Center, which treats patients from newborn to age 21 with a patient- and family-centered approach. Since our inception in 2009, we have raised well over $50,000 to purchase life-saving equipment and fund vital services that directly benefit critically ill and injured children throughout our communities. Our members hail from Harding Township and surrounding towns and we are always happy for new members. Please contact us at twigofharding@gmail.com for information on our events or membership.

Knitting with Love
Chair: C. Merry LeBlond
The Knitting With Love Twig was formed in January of 2012 inspired by the successful Knit With Love fundraiser. The members are a group of women who love to knit and crochet. They meet monthly in the Women’s Association conference room to create colorful blankets that are donated to patients in the Goryeb Children’s Hospital. The Twig also sponsors vendor sales, the proceeds from which support various programs at the Goryeb Children's Hospital.

Somerset Hills
Co-Presidents: Elaine Edge and Tracy Redling
The Somerset Hills Twig is comprised of women living in Basking Ridge, Bedminster, Bernardsville, Far Hills, Peapack and the surrounding area. This Twig, which was formed in 2015 has donated over $20,000 to programs at the Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center. In 2017, the Somerset Hills Twig held its 2nd Annual Bourbon and Burgers in the Barn fundraiser as well as a successful chocolate fundraiser featuring JT’s Confections. This Twig is currently focusing fundraising efforts to benefit the Therapeutic Drumming Program at the Goryeb Children's Hospital.

Springbrook

The Springbrook TWIG raises funds to support the NICU, PICU and other child-related areas of Morristown Medical Center. Our members come from a variety of towns throughout Morris and Somerset Counties, including Morristown, Morris Township, Madison, Randolph, Far Hills and Chester. The Springbrook TWIG meets monthly and hosts a variety social events and service projects throughout the year. Past fundraisers include holiday shopping boutiques, Ocktober-fest fundraisers, cocktail parties, wine-pulls and shopping events. The TWIG has made numerous grants to the hospital for NICU and PICU equipment, continuing education for PEDS nurses, and has provided items for patients and their families, like IPads, sleepchairs, and meals. Annual projects include Halloween treat-bags to NICU siblings and Spring Baskets to children at the free clinic. A particular TWIG favorite is our ongoing project of providing monthly meals to the families in the NICU. We are always welcoming new members!
