SERVICE IMPACT
Making a Difference for Patients, Visitors & Staff
Much of the focus of WAMMC is serving the people who find themselves at the Medical Center. We know that many circumstances which bring people to the hospital can be difficult and we want to make sure that the atmosphere is as welcoming and stress-reducing as possible. Many of our Twig Auxiliaries are very involved with service activities at the Medical Center and offer a great way to be a part of the good work that we do. Our Service Committees offer rewarding volunteer experiences.

Art Committee acquires and places art throughout Morristown Medical Center, creating an aesthetically pleasing environment to benefit patients, staff, visitors and volunteers.

Art Exhibits brings the art of local artists to the halls of the Medical Center. The artwork can be purchased at our Corner Gift Shop. This benefits the artists of our community and ensures a beautiful Medical Center welcome.

Awards of Recognition
are administered by our Hospital Liaison committee for MMC volunteers and nurses. These include gift baskets for Volunteers Week and Nursing Week, a $500 Nursing Team Award, and a $500 Ruth Award, which is awarded to a graduating Junior Volunteer.
Calling All Kids consists of over 100 stories read by doctors, nurses, volunteers and kids. Designed to comfort our viewers, CAK provides a welcome distraction from the daily routine and stress of a hospital stay.
Chapel Flowers ensures a welcoming environment in the Chapel. The Women's Association contributes seasonal silk floral arrangements to add to the peace and tranquility of this space.
Magnet Awards are given to encourage the development of leading-edge nursing programs and practices.

Special Holidays bring a little bit of home to the Medical Center. Volunteers decorate the Medical Center for different holidays to make being at the hospital a more inviting atmosphere.
