Project Independence Basket Raffle

The holiday season has begun and it’s the perfect time of year for the Employee Basket Raffle. For many years, WAMMC has been a part of this fund raising event sponsored by Project Independence. Project Independence raises funds to assist MMC patients in overcoming financial hardship during an illness. Individuals, organizations and groups donate gift baskets. Employees purchase raffle tickets and try their luck at winning specific baskets. This year, the raffle offered a choice of 160 baskets! WAMMC contributed a Thanksgiving themed basket valued at $300. The basket included gift certificates from Ashley’s Farm and ShopRite for turkey and all the trimmings, and autumn decorations for the home.

An estimated $20,000 in ticket sales was matched by the Foundation For Morristown Medical Center for over $40,000 in proceeds for Project Independence.
