"Medy Bozkurtian is showing over 40 of her latest original watercolor, oil and acrylic paintings in the Main Gallery of the Morristown Medical Center at 100 Madison Avenue from January 9 thru March 3, 2017.

The exhibit entitled "Places in the Heart" includes local and international scenes, as well as florals and abstracts . Medy captures the essence of her subjects with expressive realism and a hint of impressionism. She is an Elected Member and Fellow of the American Artists Professional League in NYC and a signature member of the North East Watercolor Society, the Garden State Watercolor Society and Essex Watercolor Club, where she recently served as President. Her work is in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and in Europe. The exhibit can be viewed 24/7, and sales are handled by the Hospital Gift Shop."

When coronary artery bypass was initiated, surgeons were mystified when their sophisticated, state of the art, grafts occluded over time — just like the native arteries. The nature of the underlying atherosclerotic disease was unrecognized until the 1990s when stains were introduced.
